Beastly beauty by vanettda Beastly beauty by vanettda
A sketch I did for my artiste gullible web comic. I really like the expression on Belle, but I think I overworked the beast. The original sketch had a side table with a teapot, and a chipped cup. I yanked them all for being too cute.

You can read a transcript of the scene at [link]

I sort of see BatB as a reverse furry tale. Furry finds true love and is morphed into a socialbly acceptable form. But what if the result of true love was that Belle turned into a furry? I think her face says it all.

Yep, oh brainstorm alert how about you try and read the book Beastly and try and do Kyle transforming into his beast form through a moving picture thingy.*double eyebrow*, and then that would probably make a lot of people say that your a great artist :pat:

I mean, cause the book doesn't describe how he transforms into his beast form (and use either the movie or book) better yet use both back to back, and let the deviantart community decide of which one is better. Hold a voting poll and let them decide.

Than you very much. I often overwork stuff. I am hoping it looks underworked in the painting. My work often reveals these kind of breaches in artistic logic.

Thank you for saying so. I think I am going to use this drawing as a base for a quick painting. (Because it's not truly overworked until you have beat it with a club, and driven a stake through its heart.)
